Basenji Woodworking scours the Pacific Northwest for pieces of wood considered too wild for regular furniture projects.

Because these boards need extra processing to reveal their unique grain—requiring more labor and planning—similar pieces are often burned or discarded. This is particularly common with walnut, which isn’t suitable for landscaping.
